It’s great when you meet someone with the same vision. The mutual friend who introduced us obviously got sick of hearing talk about almost identical projects.

Although Julie had prospered with the best retail food and coffee businesses in Australia and the UK for 10 years she had always felt that people with her Bridget Jones lifestyle were not well served in the take home food sector.

John had been in adventure travel for a couple of years longer - leading people up mountains and across deserts on camel safaris tasting many exotic dishes along the way - but sold his business and moved to Australia keen to pass on those taste sensations.

Together we developed the relish sydney concept of restaurant quality food ready to take home and hope to share our passion for great food with you.

Step one was to develop our first store in Edgecliff. Here we bring to the Eastern Suburbs the flavours of home cooked food to savour and enjoy - or even pass off as your own.

Step two, was the opening of our second store at Norton Plaza in the 'foodie' centre or Leichhardt. This is now established as our main kitchen and hub of operations. 

After that solid start we have probably got a bit carried away and the pace picked up. We opened two stores in Chatswood - one at the Chase and one at Westfield Chatswood and earlier this year we opened at the Broadway Shopping Centre in Glebe.

To provide all the food for the stores we also set up a centralised kitchen in Marrickville, which supplies our soups and casseroles, but don't worry we continue to prepare food in every store.
